How can I learn Reiki?
As a general rule Reiki cannot be learned from simply reading a book.
An Oral tradition, Reiki is passed on in an attunement process by a Reiki master.
Dr Usui gave the first reiki Attunement to a number of his students in japan. One of them was Dr. Hyashi, whom Dr. Usui made his successor and who in turn gave Mrs Takata the attunements, makin her a reiki master and his successor. Mrs Takata then initiated many students in the West and made 22 Reiki Masters. These reiki Masters passed Reiki on to hundreds all over the world, making many more Reiki masters, capable of passing on Reiki through the Attunement process.
In order to receive the gift of Reiki healing you attend a corse given by a certified Reiki Master who will attune you to the Reiki energy enabling you to practice Reiki healing on yourself and on others.
During the Attunement process, energy centers in the body are opened. The energy can then flow in a spontaneous way through your hands to yourself and others.
As this is not a transmission of personal energy Reiki practitioners themselves receive energy from the Divine Source and are not robbed of their own personal energy.
If you use Reiki regularly you will be rewarded with increased energy and strength. Reiki is the best insurance policy against physical, mental, emotional and spiritual disorders. Mrs Takata enjoyed excellent health until her transition in 1980 at the age of 79, everyone who uses Reiki every day is aware of the difference in mind, body, and spirit.
1) Reiki First Degree – Level 1
Prior to the attunement you will hear the story of Reiki and learn what Reiki is and how it will benefit you. Immediately after the Attunement process is completed you will be able to start practicing reiki with plenty of time in the course to practice the basic hand positions on yourself and on other students attending the workshop.
After the course it is recommended you practice Reiki on yourself every day of at least 21 days. In this way you can absorb and integrate the energy received in the attunement process, getting the most out of your course.
2) Reiki Second Degree – Level 2
Second degree Reiki empowers you even more fully and deeply, providing you with symbols for mental, emotional and distant healing. You will find the strength of your Reiki increases, due to the power of the symbols.
The symbols can work effectively on relationships that need healing and on all kinds of addictive behaviour. Use of the symbols can help you attain goals, improve memory, and clear patterns of behaviour that are impeding your growth.
The reiki symbols can also help with any past life trouble as well as trauma in this life.
When you use the distant healing symbol, you no longer need to be physically present with someone to give them Reiki. The Attunement to the symbols performed by the Reiki Master gives them their power.
3) Advanced Reiki Training – Includes Crystal Grids & Psychic protection techniques
This course can be taken separately or as a preliminary to the Reiki Master Course. You will receive the Attunement to the Usui Master Symbol, which can be used to heal with crystals as well as to clear restant blocks. Symbol meditations will be practiced which can enhance your healing skills and integrate your physical and spiritual being.
4) Reiki Master – Includes Reiki Healing Attunement technique
This is a 2 day course which makes you a Reiki Master, enabling you to initiate students into all levels of reiki.
A special Healing Attunment is taught as well as a meditation to harmonize the chakras. Most of the time is spent practicing giving the attunements. You will learn how to give attunements and how to send an attunement at a distance.
During the course you will give and receive many attunements.
Reiki Course class size does not exceed four people. Individual Attunements are also available.
No prior experience of Reiki is necessary to undertake the First Degree.
To learn Reiki, all that is necessary is an interest in Reiki and the openness to receive the attunement.
All Students receive a Reiki Manual and notebook.
Upon completion of the course a Certificate is awarded.
